The Stray Cats Project is an incorporated association and registered charity based in Newcastle NSW (Australia). It is funded mostly by the generosity of our donors, but also our own efforts.
We are dealing with eleven ‘colonies’ of homeless cats and are currently feeding approximately 130 hungry cats on a daily basis.
The cats under our care are desexed, microchipped and given a medical check by local veterinarians. Where possible, the cats are then placed in foster homes to await adoption. Under some circumstances, if no foster homes are available, the cats are returned, fed and monitored by dedicated colony feeders.
We endeavour to relieve the suffering of the cats, reduce their proliferation by desexing, and reduce their social and environmental impact.

Cat food donations, both wet and dry, are always greatly appreciated.
We are always grateful for donations of litter, cat beds, toys, etc., for our beautiful cats in foster care.
